Monday Briefing
Monday morning. So soon. Here are a few reads to get the synapses firing:
- The DOL’s fiduciary rule is moving towards final form. It will be published before President Obama leaves the White House and possibly later this year or early in 2016. But that doesn’t mean the fight is over. Last week democratic house members sent a letter to Secretary Perez voicing objections. (insurancenewsnet) And some are saying there might be a longer transition period than originally proposed. (Bloomberg BNA) Any changes are more likely to benefit employers than financial service entities.
- Last week the IRS issued Notice 2015-68 and final ACA reporting forms, giving us all some ACA information to digest this week. Changes for COBRA codes are significant in the new forms. The revised instructions appear to put some concerns about separate HRA reporting to rest. (Notice 2015-68) (Forms & Instructions)
- State Street’s surveys usually go to the top of my reading pile. Here’s their 2015 Global Retirement Survey. (State Street)
- Talk about comparison shopping. Take a look at this. (GoodRx.com)
